• CAMPBELL — Melissa Kmetz became the bride of Michael Antonas in a 2 p.m. ceremony Aug. 2 at St. Lucy Church.

Afterward, a reception at the church’s hall honored the daughter of Michael and Deborah Kmetz and the son of John and Lisa Antonas, all of Poland.

After a honeymoon trip to the Hawaiian islands of Maui and Oahu, the couple reside in Poland.

The bride, who is a third-grade teacher in Lakeview Schools, Cortland, earned a master’s degree in reading specialist at Youngstown State University.

The groom is a staff sergeant in the Ohio Army National Guard based in Ravenna and was deployed to Iraq in 2005-2006. He earned a bachelor’s degree at Ohio State University in Columbus.

The bride’s white satin A-line strapless gown was trimmed with Alen ßon lace, tulle and crystals and extended to a cathedral train.

Kristin Kmetz was the maid of honor for her sister, and bridesmaids were Alisse Antonas, the groom’s sister; Megan and Katie Cunning, the bride’s cousins; Amie Kushma; and Dana Rogers. The honor attendant wore frappuccino, and the bridesmaids wore apricot gowns.

Best man for his brother was Anthony Antonas, and groomsmen were Ben Bair; Dan Bole; Andrew Colella; and Brian and Tim Cunning, cousins of the bride. Nicholas Cunning, another cousin, was ring bearer.

Ushering guests were Craig DiRienzo and Kyler Rupert, cousins of the groom.
