FRIDAY

• Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Poland, will be selling chili dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Fridays through Nov. 7. Chili is served with bread, crackers and pie. Prices follow: whole dinner, $5; bowl, $2; refill, $1; quart, $4; slice of pie, $2.50; whole pie, $7; and coffee or punch, 50 cents.

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 :30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide containers.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi. The cost for potato or potato with kraut pirogi is $5 a dozen. Orders will be taken from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

• Potato pirogi will be sold at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. To order, call (330) 799-0084 at 5:30 p.m. Thursday or from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome, but no sales before 11 a.m. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sell pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m. Friday.

• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

• St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9 a.m. and noon only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza, and $5 for white pizza.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to noon Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be by 2 p.m. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance. SATURDAY

• First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, Pa., is sponsoring a chicken pie supper and bazaar. The bazaar will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and dinners will be available from 4 to 7. • Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will sponsor its 24th annual Krautfest from 4 to 7 p.m. The all-you-can-eat meals feature kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, applesauce, homemade pies, bread and beverage. Meals are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Takeouts will be available.

• Lordstown Christian Church in Warren is sponsoring a harvest dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lordstown Administration Building, 1455 Salt Springs Road. Meals of turkey with all the fixings will be $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under.

• Lowellville United Methodist Church, 190 W. Wood St., will have a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts will be available.

• Pricetown United Methodist Church is sponsoring an annual all-you-can-eat turkey dinner buffet from 4 to 7 p.m. at Newton Falls High School, state Route 534. Meals are $7.50 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under.

• St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell, will be the setting for a steak fry to be sponsored by the Men’s Club from 5 to 9 p.m. at the church hall. The donation is $12.

• St. Matthias Church, Father Snock Center, 2800 Shady Run Road, will have a stuffed cabbage dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Pop is a additional 50 cents per can, and cabbage rolls only are $2 each. Containers are provided for takeouts.

• Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will serve Swiss steak dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Takeouts will be available. Meals are $7.50 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12. Those 4 and under eat free.

• Volant Volunteer Fire Company, Main Street, Volant, Pa., will have an all-you-can-eat buckwheat-pancake and sausage day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Regular pancakes will be available. • Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

• Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10. Those 5 and under may eat for free. • Struthers Rotary will be having its 54th Annual Pancake and Sausage Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Struthers High School cafeteria. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Struthers Rotary or at the door. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. There will also be a 50-50 raffle. Proceeds help provide scholarships to local students.

TUESDAY

SBlt Lord of Life Lutheran Church will sponsor its annual Election Day spaghetti dinner at the Canfield High School cafeteria, Cardinal Drive. Dinners will be served from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and include salad, rolls and butter, dessert and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 13 and free for kids 4 and under. The Canfield Community Band will play.

• St. Mary Church, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., will be selling stuffed cabbage and baked goods from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stuffed cabbage will be $12 a dozen.

• Saxon Club, Ladies Branch 22, will sponsor an Election Day luncheon and bake sale from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the ballroom, 710 S. Meridian Road. Available will be German sausage sandwiches, sauerkraut, hot dogs, chicken dumpling soup, potato chips, and coffee. Takeouts will be available.

• Slippery Rock Rotary Club will sponsor an Election Day pancake festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Peter Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock. The all-you-can eat meals are $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Desserts are extra. Political popcorn will be $5 a bag and can be preordered.
