Angels for Animals November fundraisers

Angels for Animals and Andrews Hall are located at 4750 W. South Range Road, (state Route 165) in Canfield.

• Feline Fall Fling: 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 2 at Andrews Hall at Angels. Angels celebrates the first of the fall holidays with a celebration of the cat.

Fling activities will include pumpkin painting, face painting, a Halloween costume contest, Chinese auction, and more. A $3 donation (or more) will include a snack and beverage. The first 50 people will receive a goody bag.

Joanne the psychic medium will be visiting from 1 to 4 p.m. Those who want to talk to their lost pet can take a collar or picture. No pets, please.

• World Wine Tour: 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 8 at Andrews Hall, sponsored by Angels and Ohio Wine & Beverage. Patrons can experience choice selections from Europe, Argentina, New Zealand and Australia. Finger food will be prepared by Tommy DeGenova and center volunteers. Finish holiday shopping early at the Wine & Seasonal Gift Sale, bid on many unique offerings at a silent auction, and take a chance on a Chinese raffle.

Ohio Wine representatives will be on hand to answer wine questions.

• Pre-Thanksgiving Bake Sale: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 26 at two locations: In Boardman at the Clear Channel Building on South Avenue and in Austintown in front of the Work Wear Depot in the Austintown Plaza.

Homemade apple pies with Dutch or regular crust will be for sale. There will also be pumpkin pies, cookies and brownies. As always, curb service is offered, so no need to get out of the car.

At the Boardman site only, take your pet and get a free Angels collar/bracelet (a $5 value). Wear your PJs and get your picture taken.

• Progressive Euchre Tournament: 7 to 11 p.m. Nov. 29 at Andrews Hall. Entry fee is $20 for preregistered players, or $25 at the door.

Half of the proceeds goes toward prizes, and half goes to Angels. Top six places will pay.

• Texas Hold’Em Tournament: noon to finish Nov. 30 at Andrews Hall. Doors open at noon for cash games. Tournament begins promptly at 2 p.m. Details follow: $70 buy-in, 25% rake, no rebuys or add-ons, $3,000 starting chips; preregister for an extra $500 chip, free food, cash bar, TVs for football.
