Butler will host Beatles tribute

STAFF REPORT

YOUNGSTOWN — The Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave., will host its annual Beatles tribute concert featuring Abbey Road on Nov. 8.

The event will include food, prizes and giveaways. A trip for two to any destination in the continental United States is the grand prize.

Several pieces of Beatles memorabilia — on loan from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland — will be on display for this night only.

The collection includes a minidress with prints of Beatles’ faces and records; a Beatles Flip Your Wig board game; a John Lennon and a Ringo Starr Beatles bed sheet; a copy of the hardcover books “A Spaniard In the Works” and “In His Own Write” by John Lennon; and tickets from the Beatles’ 1966 concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

The event is sponsored in part by Y-103 FM, Burger Travel, Butler Wick & Co., Taylor-Winfield, AVI, The Vindicator, WFMJ-TV 21, Hill, Barth & King, and the Youngstown Better Business Bureau.

Free parking is available for the event in nearby YSU lots.

Call the Butler at (330) 743-1107 for tickets. Proceeds benefit Butler children’s programs and the museum’s free admission policy.
