With trip to Italy, Villanos mark 50th anniversary

• HUBBARD — A two-week trip to Italy, which was a gift from their children, marked the occasion of their 50th anniversary for Anthony and Carmel Villano, 143 Maple St.

Mr. Villano and the former Carmel Pannunzio were united in marriage Sept. 27, 1958, at St. Patrick Church, where they are members.

The couple’s family includes their children, Kimberly Villano-Vargo, Atty. Mark Villano, David and Cindy Villano, and Michael Villano, all of Hubbard, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Villano, a housewife, is a member of the Hubbard Opti-Mrs. Club.

Mr. Villano, known as “Chub,” was the owner of Villano Construction of Hubbard, and he retired in 1995. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1957 to 1968. He is a member of St. Vincent de Paul of Hubbard, the Hubbard Optimist Club and various church groups.
