Wells anniversary celebrated at family dinner

• LARGO, Fla. — The 65th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wells of Largo, formerly of Struthers, was celebrated recently during a family dinner that took place at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Skip and Jerri Smith, of Poland.

Co-hosts for the event were another daughter and son-in-law, Becky and John Chmura of Lowellville.

The celebration will be continued when the couple return to Largo, where they will be honored at a dinner hosted by their other children and their spouses, Pendry and Alberta Wells, Jeffrey and Susan Wells, Ted and Jeannie Kurz, and Tina Wells, the widow of the late Hudson Wells. There are 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren in the family.

The former Norma Lee Williams and Mr. Wells were married July 28, 1943, at the Chapel of the Friendly Bells in Youngstown.

They are co-owners of Prototype Plastics in Clearwater, Fla., where she is office manager and where Mr. Wells, who served with the Air Force in World War II, works in the machine shop.
