NEW CASTLE: New Castle Red Hurricane defeat Mohawk Warriors 45-6

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The New Castle High football team ran for 267 yards in Friday’s 45-6 victory over Mohawk.

Quarterback Michael Bongivengo scored on a 95-yard run in the second quarter and finished 7-of-11 passing for 187 yards with two touchdowns and an interception to lead New Castle.

Running back Keith Keene scored twice, once on a run and the other on a reception, to also lead the winners.

Keene finished with 132 yard rushing on 13 carries.

Mohawk scored on a 1-yard run by Jimmy Fleo with 1:32 left in the game to escape a shutout.

Mohawk’s leading rusher was Chuck Trott, who finished with 51 yards on six carries.
