Sobriety checkpoint set up Saturday in Mahoning County

A sobriety checkpoint will be somewhere in Mahoning County from 11 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday.

Members of the Mahoning County Operating Vehicle Impaired Task Force will have increased impaired driving enforcement. Tracy Styka, task force coordinator, said Halloween is a much-loved fall tradition that is enjoyed by people of all ages but irresponsible celebrating can quickly spoil a fun evening.

She said Halloween has become a dangerous and deadly night of the year due to impaired driving.
