CANFIELD

Oct. 10

Drug abuse: Police arrested an 18-year-old New Castle, Pa., man on charges of drug abuse of marijuana after police found a suspected small bag of less than 0.2 ounce of suspected marijuana. They arrested a second man from New Wilmington, Pa., on charges of drug abuse of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The arrests occurred on West Main Street.

Drug abuse: Police arrested a 17-year-old Warren male on charges of drug abuse, drug possession and being a delinquent child. The arrest took place at Fairground Boulevard and Hood Street. Police found two small bags of suspected marijuana totaling a little over a half-ounce, a packet of rolling papers and a marijuana pipe containing suspected marijuana residue.

Oct. 11

Drug abuse, paraphernalia: Police arrested a 20-year-old Warren man on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia and underage consumption of alcohol at the Edward Jones Investments parking lot, 4 W. Main St. Police found a blue and silver pipe containing suspected marijuana residue, a silver grinder containing suspected raw marijuana, 0.14 ounce of suspected marijuana and 16 12-ounce cans of beer.

Oct. 15

Illegal processing of drug documents: A physician reported that a prescription was forged and presented to be filled at Buckeye Pharmacy, 12 W. Broad St.

Oct. 16

Dog bite: Two women were walking on Verdant Lan, and a St. Bernard dog, one of two outside, ran toward them. The dog bit one women on the left thigh. The owner brought the dogs inside the house but never provided information on the dog or its shot record.

Oct. 13

Breaking and entering: Bits, Bytes and Pieces, 3710 Mahoning Ave., was broken into, and computers and cash were stolen. There was no sign of forced entry.

Theft: $2,000 was stolen from Austintown Little Falcons, Lloyd Elementary School, at the concession stands at Austintown Fitch High School.

Theft: A vehicle tow dolly was stolen from the Lube Stop lot, 5010 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Credit cards and cash were stolen from the Bottom Line Pub, 4903 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Tires and rims were stolen from an auto at home in the 110 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Oct. 14

Theft: Prescription sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 200 block of Idlewood Road.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Receiving stolen property: Police arrested two males, one a minor, for possession of numerous items in the driveway of a home in the 200 block of Westminster Avenue.

Obstructing official business: Police arrested two Youngstown men for obstructing official business at Mahoning Avenue and North Roanoke Avenue. One man was charged with possession of criminal tools and falsification, and the second man was charged with drug abuse and possession of hydrocodone and also possession of criminal tools, including bolt cutters.

Criminal damage: A 1995 Pontiac was broken into and the window was damaged at Kim’s Auto Repair, 1213 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A window was damaged to an auto and a stereo was stolen at Kim’s Auto Repair.

Theft: A car window was damaged and a stereo and speakers were stolen from it at Kim’s Auto Repair.

Theft: A radar detector was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a home in the 200 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard.

Theft: Sunglasses, glasses and a head lamp were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Idlewood Road.

Theft: A left door lock on an auto was damaged and $20 in coins and six cans of tobacco were stolen at the Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.

Recovered property: A 24-inch blue Huffy bicycle was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Criminal damage: A Realtor sign was thrown against a house, causing damage in the 4000 block of Aspen Drive.

Theft: A window was smashed and tools stolen from an auto at the Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive.

Theft: A purse was stolen at JJL Packing, 5699 W. Webb Road.

Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of South Warwick Drive.

Breaking and entering: Copper was taken from a vacant house in the 200 block of S. Main Street.

Fraud: Money was removed from a checking account at a home in the 200 block of South Main Street.

Oct. 15

Theft: A credit card was stolen from Bill’s Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal trespassing: A male suspect is accused of trespassing at Blue Beacon, 5300 Seventy-Six Drive.

Recovered property: A front Ohio license plate was recovered at Sears, 6009 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle door mirror was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle.

Felonious assault: A victim was struck by a vehicle at a home in the 100 block North Main Street.

Theft: Beer was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Oct. 16

Assault: Employees were involved in an assault at Vinyl Source, 427 Thacher Lane.

Criminal damaging: Damage was done to a room at the Westgate Motel, 4493 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Scrap aluminum and rims were stolen and two males were arrested at the dead end at 5370 Clarkins Drive.

Drug offense: Police charged a Struthers man with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, a metal pipe, at Vivo III Metals, North Meridian Road.

Unauthorized use: A Penske rental truck was used without authorization at Penske Trucking, 3650 Victoria Road.

Menacing: A male juvenile is a suspect in menacing at a home in the 50 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A Steelers banner was stolen from a home in the 50 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Drug offense: A 17-year-old male juvenile was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and a wooden box of marijuana seeds at Four Mile Run Road and Kenmar Court and released to his parents.

Theft: A vehicle window was broken and a GPS system stolen at Best Western, 870 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Theft: A second vehicle window was broken and a GPS system stolen at Best Western.

Attempted theft: A door and a window were damaged on an auto at Best Western.

Theft: Wine was stolen from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave., and police arrested a man and a woman for the crime.

Oct. 17

Theft: A door lock was pulled on an auto and an AM-FM compact disc player was stolen at a home in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Theft: A compact disc player and a backpack with shoes and clothes were stolen from a car parked in the 1000 block of Woodledge Drive. There also was damage to its dashboard.

Theft: A backpack containing books was stolen from an auto parked in the 1000 block of Northfield Drive.

Criminal damaging: Two tires were cut on a vehicle parked at a home in the 3000 block of Bryant Drive.

Theft: Audio Overdrive, 5474 Mahoning Ave., was accused of taking money for parts and not doing repairs.

Theft: A Garmin GPS was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 1000 block of Cedarwood Drive.

Theft: 257 gallons of diesel fuel were stolen from a tractor-trailer parked in the 5000 block of Clarkins Drive.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 4000 block of South Warwick Drive.

Theft: A package was taken off a porch at a home in the 300 block of Westminister Drive.

Criminal damage: Three vehicle tires were damaged at a home in the 5000 block of W. Webb Road.

Drug offense: A man and a woman, both from Austintown, are suspects in a marijuana-growing operation at a home in the 4000 block of Norquest Boulevard.

Oct. 18

Theft: Prescription medicines were taken at an apartment in the 400 block of Westchester Drive.

Criminal damage: Four tires were cut at Austintown Lifetime, 4428 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A money order and a deposit slip were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Theft: A wheel and tires were stolen from an auto at Ron Haus Auto Group, 4375 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to an Austintown woman for possession of marijuana at Elmwood Avenue at South Main Street.

Obstructing official business: Police issued a woman a summons for obstructing official business at the Go Go Cabaret, 5455 Clarkins Drive.

Assault: A man was threatened and assaulted by three other men at a home in the 3000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: Two juveniles were caught stealing items from Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
