AUCTIONS

• Salem Hills Ladies Association is sponsoring a silent auction Nov. 6 at Salem Hills Country Club, Salem-Warren Road, Goshen Township. Admission is $5. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will include hors d’oeuvres and beverages (cash bar available), the auctioning of handcrafted and unusual items, and door prizes. BAZAARS

• Gustavus Federated Church, at the intersection of routes 87 and 193, is having its Fall Bazaar Saturday. Turkey dinners will be served from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the cost of $8 for adults, $3.50 for school-age children, and free for preschoolers. Booths will be open from 1-5 p.m., offering holiday treasures and fair trade gifts from around the world, including Fresh From the Oven, Green Thumb Shoppe, Sugar and Spice, and Attic Treasures. The church is handicapped accessible. Also featured will be a country store in the Gustavus Town Hall.

CARD/BINGO PARTIES

• Guilford Lake Ruritan, state Route 172 at Hanna Drive, Guilford Lake, will sponsor bingo at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

• Oblate Sisters Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a card and bingo party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Casini Hall, 50 Warner Road, Hubbard. The donation of $5 includes prizes and refreshments. There will be a Chinese auction.

• St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Boardman will have a card and bingo party from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in the church hall. Admission is $5, and tickets will be sold at the door. The cost of a ticket includes lunch and a chance to win door prizes. The Ladies Guild is sponsoring the event.

CRAFT SHOWS

• Laurel Marching Band has scheduled a craft show for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 1 at Laurel High School in New Castle. Crafters, space is still available. For more information, call (724) 651-0761. All proceeds benefit the Laurel Spartan Marching Band. Admission will be $1, and there will be a concession stand and a Chinese auction.

FUNDRAISERS

• Vendors for Charity is having a fundraiser for Toys for Tots from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 22 at Firestone Park in Columbiana. Vendors and crafters who are interested in setting up may call (330) 424-3404 or (330) 692-2002 for information. All proceeds will benefit the Toys for Tots campaign. There will be a Chinese auction, a bake sale, and a lunch stand along with the collection of new, unwrapped toys. Those who donate a new toy will receive tickets for the Chinese auction.

NIGHT AT THE RACES

• St. Matthias Church will have a Night at the Races and Las Vegas Night on Oct. 25 at the Father Snock Center, 2800 Shady Run Road. Admission is free, and patrons must be at least 21 years old to be admitted. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the races begin at 7 p.m. The kitchen will have haluski, pizza, hot dogs and sausage sandwiches for sale.

• Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware, plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, has planned a three-day fall rummage sale. Sales will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (including a bake sale) on Nov. 6; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (half-price day) on Nov. 7; and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. ($1 a bag day) Nov. 8. • Jesus the Key Ministry is sponsoring a trip to the Amish country at Sugar Creek on Oct. 30.
