• YOUNGSTOWN — Stephanie Matasek, 8806 Saddlehorn Drive No. 314, Irving, Texas, and Brian Myers, 209 Edgestone Drive, Irving, were united in marriage Aug. 2 at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. Nicholas Cammarata officiated over the 3:30 p.m. union, and the Avalon Inn Grand Pavilion in Warren was the site of the reception afterward.

After honeymooning in Playa Paraiso, Mexico, the couple live at the Edgestone Drive address.

The bride, daughter of Joe and Diane Matasek, 5065 Simon Road, Boardman, is an event coordinator for American Airlines Center in Dallas. She earned a bachelor’s degree in international marketing at Youngstown State University and a master’s in sports management at Kent State University.

The groom, son of Jerry and Linda Myers of 2860 Wickford Ave. N.W., Canton, is best practices manager for American Construction Benefits Group in Dallas. He attended Ohio University in Athens.

The bride’s strapless gown featured delicate beading and lace appliqu s.

Wearing black dresses with fuchsia sashes were her maid of honor, Jennifer Grecko of Boardman, and the bridesmaids, Jennifer Grossi of Columbiana and Lyndsay Martinko of Boardman.

William Potts served as the groom’s best man, and groomsmen were Doug Brown of Massillon and the groom’s brother, Mark Myers of Canton.
