Semiformal party honors Karases for 50th anniversary

• BOARDMAN — George and Marie Karas, 501 Edison St., Struthers, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 27 with a semiformal event at the Holiday Inn Banquet Center.

Hosts of the event were the couple’s children and their spouses, Daniel and Toni Karas of Struthers and Andrea and Dean Cicoretti of Boardman. The Karases also have three grandchildren, Keith, Kevin and Korey Karas.

Mr. Karas and the former Marie Rago were married Sept. 27, 1958, in Youngstown.

She is a retired hairdresser, and he is retired as manager of a Sparkle Market. They are members of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Youngstown.
