MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals at noon weekdays at nine locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Oct. 22: Stuffed pepper with sauce, mashed potatoes, sliced carrots, Italian bread with margarine, milk.

Thursday, Oct. 23: Beef stew, Harvard beets, scalloped apples, dinner roll with margarine, fresh nectarine, milk.

Friday, Oct. 24: Breaded fish square, scalloped potatoes, broccoli cuts, hamburger bun, tartar sauce, diced pears, milk.

Saturday, Oct. 25: Cold cut sandwich on a hamburger bun, celery cup with ranch dressing, fresh orange, apple juice.

Monday, Oct. 27: Barbecue pork ribs, diced carrots, cheesy mashed potatoes, Diamond Jim bun, coleslaw, milk.

Tuesday, Oct. 28: Creamed chicken, Italian green beans, scalloped apples, pickled beets, biscuit with margarine, milk.

Trumbull county

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.
