Davis-Nichols engagement is announced

• GIRARD — The engagement of Summer Rose Davis and David Nichols, both of 10961 Burnt Mill Road, Jacksonville, Fla., is being announced by parents of the future groom, James and Patricia Nichols, 1207 Vine St.

Jimmy and Anita Davis, 701 Spanish Main Drive, Summerland Key, Fla., are parents of the bride-elect.

Miss Davis graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla., with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in English and from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Fla., with a juris doctor degree. She is an associate attorney with the law offices of John C. Kenny.

Mr. Nichols is a civil engineer with CSX Railroads in Jacksonville. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering at Youngstown State University.

The couple will be married in the spring of 2009 in Key Largo, Fla.
