• NORTH LIMA — Amanda Fisher and James Eckman, both of 3928 E. Middletown Road, New Springfield, were united in marriage in a 1:30 p.m. ceremony Aug. 22 at Mount Olivet Church.

The Rev. Melinda Q. Lacefield officiated over the ceremony, and a reception followed at the SNPJ Center in Enon Valley, Pa. Afterward the newlyweds left for a honeymoon in Wildwood, N.J.

The bride, daughter of William and Sharon Fisher of 6702 James St., Poland, wore a strapless gown adorned with pearl beads.

Her honor attendant was Rachel McNicholas of Poland, and bridesmaids were Jessica Kutris of Poland, the bride’s cousin; Crystal Eckman of Austintown, sister of the groom; Lisa Drist of Poland; and Lindsay Blakeman of North Lima. They wore apple-red dresses. Kamryn Dozier of Poland, the bride’s cousin, was the flower girl.

The groom is a son of Robert Eckman of 9580 Youngstown Pittsburgh Road, and Mary Lou Eckman of 5206 Middletown Road, both in New Middletown.

Best man was Tim Long of New Springfield, cousin of the groom, and groomsmen were Rick Zimmerman, also his cousin, and Chris Dennison, Ray Moss and Brad Koening, all of New Springfield. Nathan Lewis of North Lima, the groom’s nephew, participated as the ring bearer.

The bride is a lease accountant for the Cafaro Co. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Youngstown State University.

The groom is a diesel mechanic for Eckman Gas and Diesel Repair in New Castle, Pa.
