Friday’s testimony
Witnesses in the Bennie Adams aggravated murder trial:
Brenda Girardi from BCI: The chances that DNA found on Gina Tenney after her death were from anyone but Adams were calculated at 1 in 38 trillion, or more than 1,000 times the population of the planet.
Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, Trumbull County forensic pathologist: Tenney died from either suffocation or strangulation, and her death occurred 30 minutes to five hours after she last ate a meal. Her last meal may have been at 4 p.m. Dec. 29, though a plate with partially eaten food was found in her Ohio Avenue apartment Dec. 30, the day her body was found in the Mahoning River.
Sheryl Mahan from BCI: Fingerprints found on a television set belonging to Tenney that was found in Adams’ apartment Dec. 30 had fingerprints on it belonging to Adams.
