Springfield Twp. churches to pass out free Bibles

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Churches of Springfield Township will be handing out free Bibles to all residents beginning at 9 a.m. next Saturday.

The churches collectively are trying to build up the faith of those who are engaged in church activities and inviting those who are not to discover the hope and promise found in Jesus Christ.

Volunteers from churches of all denominations will canvass the 36-square-mile area of the township, and each household will be given a Bible and a card containing information about location and worship times for each church.
