• YOUNGSTOWN — Erika Lyn Faires and Dr. Matthew Joseph Salzler were married Aug. 23 at St. John’s Episcopal Church.

The Rev. William Brewster Jr. officiated.

After the ceremony, the couple and their guests celebrated at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.

The wedding party included bridesmaids Joanna McClelland, Martha McGrath and Betsy Salzler, sister of the groom. The bride’s cousin Danielle Bennett was the flower girl. Joe Salzler, the groom’s brother, served as best man, and groomsmen were Dave Simon, Tom DePre, Mike Cavnar and Clayton Peterson.

After the wedding, the couple traveled to the Hawaiian islands of Kauai and Maui for their honeymoon.They reside in Boston.

The couple are both graduates of Brown University. Erika Faires Salzler is an associate in fixed income sales at Barclays Capital in Boston. She is the daughter of Dr. Douglas and Dr. Barbara Faires of Pulaski, Pa.

The groom received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York City. He is a second-year resident at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program in Boston. He is a son of Anne Minor of Washington, D.C., and Mark and Sandy Salzler of Dayton.
