Fall Fest cemetery walk, pumpkin contest set

GIRARD — Girard Historical Society will sponsor a Fall Fest on Oct. 25 with activities scheduled from 2 p.m. until dusk. Residents are invited to decorate a pumpkin at home and take it to the Barnhisel House before 4 p.m. for judging. In addition to the pumpkin decorating contest, there will be food and games.

At 4 p.m. there will be a tour of Barnhisel House, and a cemetery walk will begin with mourners walking behind a coffin to the cemetery, where they will visit five historical graves before returning to the museum.
