BOYS

DIVISION I

Fitch 7, Canton Timken 0

AUSTINTOWN — Anthony Savko, Kita Shelton and Nick Bowlen all scored two goals apiece as Fitch rolled past Canton Timken. Chris Colaluca also scored for the Falcons (5-10-2) who will play Canton GlenOak on Saturday at 7 p.m. Bowlen, Colaluca and Matt Devenport all had assists for the Falcons. Bobby Douglas had three saves and Chris Platton two in goal. Timken’s goalie Michael Cole had nine saves.

Canfield 1, Green 0

CANFIELD — Canfield’s Griffin Todd scored off a penalty kick to give the Cardinals (7-4-5) the victory. The Cardinals had 15 shots on goal, while Green had just five. Mike Thomas had five saves for Canfield and Zach Jasso had seven for Green. Canfield will travel to play North Canton Hoover on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Boardman 3, Canton McKinley 0

CANTON — Boardman advanced to play at Uniontown Lake Saturday at 7 p.m. No other details on this game were provided.

GIRLS

DIVISION I

Howland 2, Niles 1

HOWLAND — Senior Megan Long scored the game winning goal in a shootout to lead Howland (14-0-3). Howland led 1-0 in regulation on a goal by Jessica Wilson off an assist by Abby Nicholas, while Niles (9-7-2) tied the contest with 19 seconds remaining on a corner kick by Raffaela Infante. Howland had 33 shots while Niles took just four. Casey Haering had one save for Howland and Sarah Scarnecchia had nine for the Tigers.

DIVISION II

Badger 4, Maplewood 3

CORTLAND — Senior Amelia Deraway scored the winning goal in the shootout for Badger. The contest was tied 1-1 in regulation and remained tied after two overtime periods. In the shootout Badger made three goals to Maplewood’s two. Taylor Philips and Adrianna Braho scored the other shootout goals for Badger. Ericka Pinko and Michelle Sloan each scored shootout goals for Maplewood (11-3-1). Philips scored a first half goal in regulation for Badger (10-5-2), on an assist from Braho, while Chelsey Wolf scored in the second half to tie the game for Maplewood. Kelsey Flowers had 20 saves in goal for the Braves, while Ellie Engstrom had 13 for Maplewood.

Springfield 4, Youngstown Christian 0

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Senior Allyson Berry had two goals while senior Breanne Mincher and senior Amber Uscianowski had a goal apiece for Springfield (14-3). Mincher, Berry, sophomore Alex Pizzuto and sophomore Hannah Chapella had an assist apiece. Youngstown Christian (2-11-4) goalie Kaitlyn Vestal had 14 saves. Heather Cozak registered her eighth shutout after making 12 saves for Springfield.

South Range 3, Conneaut 2

CONNEAUT — The Raiders won the game in two overtimes. No other details were provided.
