Woman, 56, missing

HUBBARD — Township police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 56-year-old township woman who has been missing from her home since Wednesday.

Detective Mike Begeot said Carole Vargo, whose home is on the eastern part of the township near the Pennsylvania line, told her son she was going shopping that day in Grove City, Pa., with friends. The trip to Grove City fell through, however, Begeot said.

The woman is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.

She left her cell phone at home but took her purse. Her medications are still at home, and there was no sign of foul play at the home, Begeot said. Her son reported her missing Thursday. Anyone with information should contact Trumbull County 911 at (330) 675-2730.
