Sept. 28
Dangerous drugs: Police arrested a 25-year-old Salem man at the city square and township building for possession of a prescription bottle with nine whole pills and seven broken pills of 100 mg of an anti-psychotic drug. The man said the pill bottle was left in his car by his mother whom he hasn’t seen in a couple of months.
Sept. 29
Theft: A lawn ornament was reported missing from a home in the 20 block of Sleepy Hollow Drive.
Dog bite: A Canfield woman told police she was walking on Russo Lane and was bitten by a small, brown dog.
Sept. 30
Criminal damaging: Scratches were found on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car driven by a visitor at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, North Palmyra Road.
Theft: A garage in the 300 block of Neff Drive was broken into and stolen were two carpet cleaning machines and a trailer.
Oct. 2
Drug abuse: A 21-year-old Berlin Center man was arrested at West Main Street near McQuaids for possession of less than one-tenth ounce of suspected marijuana and a green glass pipe. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse.
Menacing: A student said he had been threatened by an unidentified man who was apparently not a student at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.
Oct. 7
Underage alcohol: Two Warren male juveniles were arrested for underage consumption of alcohol on East Main Street near the BP gas station. The driver had no Ohio license. A bottle of vodka was found in the vehicle. Both were released to their mothers at the police station.
Oct. 8
Theft: A red and black book bag containing school books, supplies and a calculator and a second black drawstring bag containing clothing were stolen from a male teenager’s car at McDonald’s, 586 E. Main St.

Sept. 29
Drug offense: An Austintown woman was issued a summons for possession of a small bag of suspected marijuana in the 4300 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: A GPS system was stolen from an auto at the Hampton Inn, 880 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Various items were stolen from a car parked at a home in the 200 block of South Beverly Avenue.
Theft: A GPS and receiver were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 40 block of South Beverly Avenue.
Theft: A car stereo and checkbook were stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 80 block of South Beverly Avenue.
Theft: An in-dash car stereo was stolen from an auto parked in the driveway of a home in the 80 block of South Roanoke Avenue.
Theft: Police gave two Irontown women summonses in the theft of numerous items from the Economy Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road. One of them also was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft: Money was taken from a home in the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.

Theft: A 70-pound, white and tan dog was stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: Prescription drugs were stolen from a home in the 5000 block of DePauw Avenue.
Breaking and entering: A leaf blower, a trimmer and a power washer were stolen from a home in the 60 block of Westminister Avenue.
Recovered property: A small child’s multicolored bicycle was recovered at a home in the 90 block of Carnegie Avenue.

Attempted breaking and entering: The screen was cut to a rental office at Kerrybrook Apartments, 1837 S. Raccoon Road. Nothing was taken.
Criminal damaging: A window was shot with an undetermined type of weapon at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.
Fraud: Fraudulent cash transfers totaling $33,332 were reported at a home in the 400 block of East Beacon Drive.
Theft: A credit card was stolen from a home in the 60 block of Kenmar Court and $263.48 was charged on it.
Drug offense: Police arrested a township man on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug after a traffic stop at Oakwood and Carnegie avenues.
Theft: A gift card was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Carnegie Avenue.

Theft: Three doors were stolen by a former tenant at a home in the 3000 block of Edinburgh Drive.
Burglary: Entry was gained by a break-in at a garage main door window at a home in the 3000 block of Polley Drive.
Breaking and entering: Lynn-Kirk Christian School, 4199 Kirk Road, was broken into through a window, and checks were stolen from the office.
Burglary: There were no signs of forced entry, and pills and a television set were stolen from a bedroom at an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.
Breaking and entering: Copper ground wire was taken from a Dominion East Ohio Gas transmission site at the dead end of Dunlap Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Fitch High School.
Disturbance: In an incident described by police as “road rage,” two brothers, one from Canfield and one from Poland, were taunting a 74-year-old Austintown man who is alleged to have pointed a gun at one of them. The man was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, but he had a gun permit. The incident occurred at state Route 46 and Notre Dame Drive.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 500 block of North Four Mile Run Road.
Theft: Money for travel was taken by an agent at a home in the 4000 block of Washington Square Drive.
Fraud: Unauthorized withdrawals were made at an ATM machine at Huntington Bank, 6010 Mahoning Ave.

Auto theft: A 1984 Cadillac was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.
Theft: Money was taken from a victim’s account in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Criminal damaging: Siding and windows were damaged by a pellet gun in the 700 block of S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: $30 in fuel was stolen from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Aggravated menacing: Threats were made by telephone from an unidentified person at a home in the 2000 block of Elm Trace Street.

Theft: Two aluminum extension ladders were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Barrington Drive.
Theft: Tools belonging to a former employer were stolen at Cerni Motors, 1050 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A male suspect was arrested on charges of stealing car accessories and on a warrant from the Mahoning County sheriff’s office, at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Recovered property: A red BMX bicycle was recovered for a home in the 3000 block of Lynnhaven Drive.

Theft: A GPS device and compact discs were stolen from the Sleep Inn, 5555 Interstate Boulevard.
Breaking and entering: A vacant residence was broken into in the 70 block of Placid Blvd.
Theft: A laptop, stereo and pillows were stolen from an auto parked at the Sleep Inn.

Theft: $180 was stolen from a purse at Wal-Mart.
Theft: Police arrested three township juvenile girls for theft for attempting to steal $28 in merchandise at Wal-Mart. One female had an order of apprehension from the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.
Fleeing and eluding: Police arrested a man for fleeing from police at Maple and Westminster avenues.
Lost or stolen wallet: A wallet and its contents was reported lost or stolen at IGA, 4477 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A 15-foot tree stand was stolen in a wooded area in the 2000 block of Canfield-Niles Road.
Fraud: Fraudulent charges were made on a bank account at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Theft: Four nail guns were stolen from Alvaro Construction warehouse, 26 Kroeck St.
Recovered property: A bank card for Key Bank, 1737 S. Raccoon Road, was reported recovered.

Recovered property: An Ohio license plate owned by a woman was recovered at Mahoning Avenue and Wilcox Road.
Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into and a lock and latch damaged at Wedgewood Park, 1671 Lancaster Drive.
