Thefts of items from cars bring charges against 4

YOUNGSTOWN — Police filed charges against at least four people they say were involved with breaking into cars and taking items from inside them, including stereo equipment, a purse, a watch and a camera.

While on another call, officers discovered items taken from at least three cars in a vehicle in front of a Millet Avenue house as well as on a person about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Jason E. Link, 18, of Wesley Avenue, was charged with receiving stolen property after police say they found a stolen camera in his pocket.

Police didn’t release the names of the others charged, including some who are younger than 18.
