Eric Albani has hat trick in soccer win


POLAND — Eric Albani scored three goals in leading the Howland High boys soccer team to a 5-2 victory over Poland Saturday as the Tigers captured the All American Conference Red Division title.

The Tigers (11-1-4, 6-0) also got a pair of goals from Connor Gilmour, who also had an assist as did Tyler Williams, Ryan Gerin and Tyler Shaw.

Ryan Storkel scored both of the goals for the Bulldogs.

JV: Howland 3-1.

LaBrae 3, Berkshire 3

LEAVITTSBURG — The second of Gabby Borawiec’s two goals knotted the game at 3-3.

LaBrae (9-5-2) scored first on a corner kick from Katelyn Downey to Michele Boraweic.

Berkshire’s Emily Goskey scored the next two goals before Gabby Borawiec tied the game at 2-2. Rachel Taylor put Berkshire up, 3-2, before Gabby Goraweic’s equalizer.

Goskey assisted on Taylor’s goal.

LaBrae goalie Kelsie Daniel and Berkshire keeper Beth Sebrasky both had eight saves.
