YOUNGSTOWN — Humility of Mary Health Partners’ parent company, Catholic Healthcare Partners, has been listed on the 2008 InformationWeek 500, a list that honors the nation’s most innovative users of information technology. Among the clinical information technology tools implemented are wireless, handheld devices for patient charting, Web portals that enable physicians to gain access to secure patient information, a patient location system that uses electronic whiteboards to provide critical patient information to all those involved in the care process, and electronic health record systems that enable clinicians to access up-to-date patient data.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — Elizabeth Verterano, a New Wilmington financial adviser, has won the Community Leadership Award, one of 12 awards presented by the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation and InvestmentNews, a weekly paper for financial professionals. She won for her work with the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County. She is a member and a past president of its board. The Crisis Shelter will receive a $10,000 donation from the Foundation and InvestmentNews.

KINSMAN — The Dream Horse Guesthouse of Kinsman was honored at the Best of BedandBreakfast.com Awards in the Best Pet Friendly category. The awards are based on nearly 50,000 independent reviews submitted to BedandBreakfast.com. Dream Horse Guesthouse is in a renovated dairy barn, but it also features a horse boarding barn, box stalls, various divided pastures, trails and exercise areas, and big-rig parking.
