HOWLAND — Gina Albani registered two goals while Erika Nites tallied her first varsity goal to lead Howland. Amy Teringo had one assist while goalkeeper Casey Heering made seven saves for Howland (13-0-3). Caroline Smith scored for Chagrin Falls (12-1-3) on an assist from Erika Ilkanich. Goalkeeper Morgan Liber had five saves. Chagrin Falls was ranked No. 3 in the state in Div. II, while Howland was rated No. 10 in Div. I. JV: Howland, 3-2.
Poland 2, Springfield 1
NEW MIDDLETOWN — Samantha Robertson and Chelsea Conzett scored for Poland, with Tatum Marucci and Erin Gabriel assisting. For Springfield (13-3), Breanne Mincher had the goal and Allyson Berry an assist. Stephanie Ciccone had three saves for Poland (15-3). Springfield goalkeeper Heather Cozek had 16 saves while Laura Krcelic had two. JV: Poland, 7-0.
Badger 3, Girard 1
GIRARD — Shawna McNeely scored twice for the Braves while Amelia Deraway added a goal and two assists. Kelsey Flowers made five saves. Jessie Hiller scored off of a corner kick for the Indians (8-6-2). Mellisa Weitzman made six saves and Meagan McNicholas seven.
Harding 0, Canton McKinley 0
WARREN — Goalie Avrielle Merten had five saves in the first half for Warren Harding (5-7-4) while Cierra Sparks had one save for the Raiders. McKinley (1-12-2) goalie Emily Niewiadomski had 15 saves.
BOYS
Liberty 10, Newton Falls 4
LIBERTY — Matt Britton had seven goals and Tom Stark had three for the Leopards, who have achieved a school-best 11-4 record. Pat McGarry had three assists, Matt Tharp had two and Alex Brown one. JV: Liberty, 6-2.
Mooney 3, Walsh Jesuit 0
CUYAHOGA FALLS — Matt McWilson scored two goals while Thomas Beck had one goal and an assist to lead Mooney (13-3-0). James Simon and Chris Felker also had one assist each to aid the Cardinals. Jon Critell made six saves. Walsh Jesuit goalkeeper Tom Murphy had five saves. JV: 1-1.
Hearts for Jesus 5, Heartland Christian 2
NORTH OLMSTED — Tyler Dix and Cameron Popik each scored two goals and Jacob Plummer added one as Heart for Jesus eliminated Heartland in the ACSI tournament game. Kyle Knepper and Treg Lunger scored a goal apiece for Heartland which ended its season with a 7-5 record.
