Tips for painting
The folks from the Rohm and Haas Paint Quality Institute would like you to consider the power of color. They’ve got some unusual ideas for using paint. Here are five inside tips:
Empty your clothes closet and paint it in a bright and glossy shade. Good cheer for the morning rush, and maybe some extra light as well, so you’ll be able to tell the navy from the black.
Entice the kids to put their stuff away by making their closets appealing — stenciling in big stars or circles over a fun base color.
To surprise guests, paint entry or linen-closet walls in a gold or silver metallic finish.
Paint the pantry an appetizing shade of red.
Add interest in the hallway without going over the top, by alternating flat and glossy stripes in the same shade. Vertical or horizontal, you choose.
