Pinnacle Health Concepts, a physical therapy center in the Youngstown YMCA, has hired David J. Denton as a physical therapist, Lynette Host as marketing associate and Courtney Hornyak as medical transcriptionist/secretary.

Denton is a graduate of Youngstown State University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology and a doctorate of physical therapy. Host graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in professional writing and editing. She had been public relations coordinator for Copeland Oaks retirement community. Hornyak is a certified medical billing specialist.

ACCOUNTING

Hill, Barth & King, a Boardman accounting firm, has hired Laurie Garman as a senior associate. She joins HBK’s Healthcare Business Solutions with nearly 20 years of experience in health care services. Her background includes revenue cycle analysis and analyzing data for a regional hospital and local physician practices. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University and her certification from the Executive Program in Healthcare Administration from Ohio State University.

Hill, Barth & King also promoted Michael Kapics to manager. He received his master’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University and joined the firm in 2001 after completing an internship. Earlier this year, he received the designation of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional from the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals.
