ODOT announces restrictions on roads in Mahoning County

AKRON — Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 has announced several traffic advisories for this week.
Beginning Monday, Mahoning Avenue over state Route 11 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge reconstruction.
Kirk Road over Route 11 in Austintown remains closed through late October. The detour is Raccoon Road to New Road to state Route 46. Route 11 from Western Reserve Road to Mahoning Avenue has various lane restrictions in either or both directions.
The work is part of a $7 million project to re-deck and paint bridges over Route 11 at Mahoning Avenue, Western Reserve, Kirk and New roads. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late August 2009.
In Boardman, reconstruction work on Tippecanoe Road south of U.S. Route 224 has switched to the west side.
Two lanes of traffic in each direction plus a left-turn lane are maintained on Route 224 at the intersection with Tippecanoe. This work is part of a $4.1 million project to widen the approaches of the Route 224 intersection with Tippecanoe/state Route 625. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by July.
The Interstate 680 southbound exit ramp to Market Street in Youngstown remains closed until 6 a.m. Monday for bridge painting.
The detour will be I-680 southbound to Market to U.S. Route 422 eastbound to Wick Avenue.
I-680 northbound at Market will have lane restrictions from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily throughout next week for bridge painting work.
This work is part of a $2.4 million project to re-deck and paint the Market Street bridge over I-680. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late May.
