Knopp 65th to be celebrated at family dinner
SBlt COLUMBIANA — The 65th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Knopp, 451 Firestone Ave., will be celebrated with members of their immediate family during a dinner on Oct. 18 at Das Dutch Haus.
The former Lois Thompson and Mr. Knopp were united in marriage Oct. 17, 1943, at Sebring United Presbyterian Church by the Rev. William Grossman.
Their family includes Susan Knopp of Columbus and Sarah and Jack Puffenberger of Toledo; their grandchildren, Kathryn Puffenberger (Matt) Del Vecchio of Worthington, Thomas (Jackie) Puffenberger of Toledo, Emily Puffenberger of Dublin and Martha Puffenberger of Toledo; and a great-granddaugher, Audrey Elise Del Vecchio, born this year on Mr. Knopp’s 90th birthday.
Mrs. Knopp worked part time for many years at Sigle’s Greenhouse in Calla and was a longtime volunteer at The Self-Help Shop. Mr. Knopp was a truck farmer in Calla and was also employed at Youngstown Welding and Engineering.
The couple are members of Leetonia Mennonite Church, Mahoning Valley Dahlia Club, East Liverpool Dahlia Society, and Columbiana and Warren rose clubs. Mr. Knopp is also a member of Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown and the former Grant Cook Bird Club.
The family requests that friends shower the couple with congratulatory cards on their anniversary.
