Hawaiian trip, dinner mark Lucansky 50th


• STRUTHERS — Mr. and Mrs. John Lucansky of Struthers celebrated their 50 wedding anniversary during a trip to the Hawaiian island of Maui and at a private dinner at the Fifth Season Restaurant in Austintown.

The former Joan Kaminski and Mr. Lucansky were united in marriage Oct. 4, 1958, at St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Nicholas Church.

Mrs. Lucansky retired in 1994 from Ameritech as a manager in the business office. She also worked for ExTerra Credit Recovery as a human resource manager, and recently worked part time for Seven Seventeen Credit Union. She is a member of the American Business Women’s Association, Mill Creek Chapter.

Mr. Lucansky retired from J&L Steel Corp. rod and wire department in 1983. He also worked as a custodian for Struthers Board of Education for 17 years prior to retiring in 2002. He is employed as a part-time ranger with Mill Creek Golf Course.

The couple will continue the anniversary celebration by traveling to Florida later this year, where they will be honored at a dinner to be given by their family, John and Lisa Lucansky of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jennifer Lucansky of Struthers. They have a grandson, Alex Lucansky.
