Gala celebration to honor Keshocks on anniversary


• GARFIELD HEIGHTS — A gala celebration is planned in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Keshock, 13615 Thraves Road, who were married Oct. 25, 1958, at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown.

The festivities on Oct. 19 will begin with a blessing at St. Monica Church, where they are members, and will be followed by a champagne reception and a dinner at DiMitri’s Restaurant in Parma.

Mr. Keshock and his wife, the former Joann Yorkunas, attended Youngstown State University. They moved to Garfield Heights in Cleveland in August 1962.

Mr. Keshock served two years as a cryptographer with the U.S. Army and was recalled to service in 1961 during the Berlin crisis. He was employed 11 years at Leaseway Transportation and retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he was employed 27 years. Afterward he had part-time positions with Garfield Heights City Schools, the City of Garfield Heights and Jennings Learning Center.

Mrs. Keshock, a homemaker, was employed 20 years by Value City Department Store in Parma prior to retiring.

The couple’s family includes Don and Estell Keshock of New Port Richey, Fla., and Ohio; Patti and Gary Chmielewski of Broadview Heights; Joe Keshock of Macedonia; Chuck Keshock Jr. of Walton Hills; and Ken and Amy Keshock of Seven Hills; and seven grandchildren, Joe, Mike (Kelly), Kristi, Alan, Arianne, Ryan and Noah.
