Biden to stop in Warren for Tuesday rally

STAFF REPORT

WARREN — Democratic vice-presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden will lead a Change We Need rally Tuesday at the Warren Community Amphitheatre, 303 Mahoning Ave., N.W., off Courthouse Square, downtown.

Gates will open at 8:30 a.m.; the program will start at 10:30 a.m. It is free and open to the public.

No tickets are required, but organizers are encouraging attendees to RSVP online at oh.barackobama.com.

Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The public entrance will be on the lawn adjacent to the Kinsman House on Mahoning Avenue.

Limited public parking is available on site; carpooling is recommended.

For security reasons, do not bring bags or umbrellas, and limit personal belongings. No signs or banners will be permitted.

Organizers said the stop will kick off a two-day bus tour through eastern Ohio, aimed at highlighting the Obama-Biden plan to “add new jobs across the country, turn the economy around and deliver the real change to Washington that voters want.”

Biden’s last visit to the Valley was Sept. 18, when he stumped in downtown Youngstown. From Warren, Biden will go on to Belmont County, then Marietta.
