Salvation Army plans health, wellness fair

YOUNGSTOWN — A free community health and wellness fair, “Your Body, God’s Temple,” will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave.

Presented at the event will be health screenings and information provided by community agency representatives, a Chinese auction, and a nutritious lunch.

Featured speakers will be Drs. David H.M. Davis and Fareedah Goodwin-Capers, family practitioners, and the keynote address will be by David Kimbrough, minister at New Salem Baptist Church in Columbus.

Sponsored by Women’s Minstry of Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 505 Parkcliffe Ave., the event is designed to provide accurate information on health care and how failure to receive proper health care will affect the daily emotional, physical, and spiritual welfare of individuals.
