GAS SAVINGS \ What we could expect Below are scenarios of savings consumers will see with a continuation of the falling gas prices seen in the last week.

At the current average rate of $3.33, down from about $3.90, a consumer will save 57 cents per gallon. On a 16-gallon tank, that would equal $9.12 in savings per tank of gasoline.

If that individual were to fill the tank twice a month, they would save $218.88 annually.

Should the price of gasoline fall below $3 a gallon to an area average of $2.99, down from about $3.90, the consumer would save 91 cents per gallon. On a 16-gallon tank, that would equal $14.56 in savings per tank of gas.

If that individual were to fill the tank twice a month, they would save $349.44 annually.
