Free Fall Festival set

Free Fall Festival set

AUSTINTOWN — Idaho Road Church, 250 Idaho Road, will sponsor a free Fall Festival to help community residents cope with current economic, political and social stresses.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday with a bonfire and s’mores at 7.

The church, working in cooperation with local businesses, is providing free food, entertainment and games and activities for kids.

“These are difficult and uncertain times,” said Phil Engle, church pastor. “People are struggling on many fronts — some societal and some personal — and that causes a lot of stress. We felt that we could do something both to relieve a little of that stress and remind people that there is hope.”

Contributors include DiRusso’s Sausage Inc., Sam’s Amusements of Ohio, Richardson’s Concessions, Eat ‘N’ Park and Pizza Hut.

Visitors may sample free hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, cotton candy, and apple and pumpkin pies. Austintown fire and police departments will have displays.

For more information, call the church at (330) 792-3456.
