• FENTON, Mich. — The 5:30 p.m. Aug. 9 wedding of Megan Dolan and Chris Thompson, both of Westland, Mich., and their reception afterward took place at the Heavenly Scent Herb Farm and Gardens.

The Rev. Greg Butzke officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Mark A. and Nikki Dolan of Marysville, formerly of Poland, and son of Larry Thompson and Nancy Thompson, both of Livonia, Mich.

Following a honeymoon at Keystone Resort in Keystone, Colo., the couple live in Westland.

Crystals and pearls enhanced the bride’s ivory silk A-line gown, She held a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, raspberry freesia and lavender.

A raspberry-colored gown was worn by the bride’s sister-in-law and honor attendant, Kelly Dolan, Flower girl was the bride’s niece, Reilly Dolan.

The duties of best man were performed by the groom’s brother, Ken Thompson, and the ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Tyler Dolan.

The bride is pursuing a master’s degree in education at Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., and is a part-time employee at Wayne Westland Community Schools.

The groom is an electronics technician with Yazaki, North America, in Canton.
