• AUSTINTOWN — Bethel Assembly of God was the setting at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 9 for the wedding of Brandie Groves, 6720 Bowman Ave., and Patrick McCutcheon of Beaufort, S.C.

The Rev. Dan Tanner officiated at the ceremony, and later that day the couple were honored during a reception at Mount Carmel Society in Lowellville.

The daughter of Kevin and Sandy Smith, also of 6720 Bowman Ave., and the son of Howard McCutcheon, 24 Massachusetts Ave., Poland, and Jilda Ross, 4552 Montrose Ave., Boardman, honeymooned at Daytona Beach, Fla.

The bride’s strapless white satin gown was enhanced with crystal beading and featured a chapel train.

Laura McCutcheon of Boardman, the groom’s sister and honor attendant, wore a black gown, as did the bridesmaids, Lauren Rider of Boardman and Ashley Fagerty of Austintown.

The duties of best man were performed by Vince Porto of Midland, Pa., and serving as groomsmen were Marc McCutcheon of Youngstown, a cousin of the groom, and Chris Porto of Midland.

The bride is attending Youngstown State University.

The groom is a lance corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps.
