Feldes and family mark 50th with dinner celebration


• YOUNGSTOWN — Sam and Carmela Felde of Campbell marked their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a dinner party Oct. 4 at St. Mark’s Center.

Hosts were the couple’s daughters and their spouses, Rita Felde and Paul Deeley of Evergreen, Colo.; Carla and James Hollabaugh of Campbell; Kathleen Poulakos of New Middletown; Patricia and Bob Rosser of Poland; and Mary Jo and Dan O’Nesti of Campbell. The couple also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The former Carmela Carfora married Mr. Felde on Oct. 4, 1958, at Immaculate Conception Church.

Mrs. Felde retired in 1995 as a sales associate for J.C. Penney in Boardman. Before that, she worked from 1954-59 for the Choffin School of Practical Nursing as a secretary. She is a member of Sacred Heart Ladies Guild.

Mr. Felde retired in 1995 from Commercial Intertech Corp, where he was a millwright. He is a member of the VFW, American Legion and Lowellville Senior Golf League.

A family trip to Mexico in honor of the occasion is planned for a later date.
