CARD/BINGO PARTIES

• St. Brendan Altar and Rosary fall card party will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 12 in Maxwell Hall at the church. The admission of $5 includes lunch. Patrons are asked to enter from the back parking lot.

CRAFT SHOWS

• Aviator Sports Boosters will sponsor a craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 1 at Alliance High School, 200 Glamorgan St. Tables can be rented for $30. For more information, contact Kathy Kuceyeski, (330) 821-2924.

• East Liverpool Area YMCA, 15655 state Route 170, is seeking vendors for its craft show, which will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 1. Spaces are 8-by-10 feet and cost $25. Electricity is available. Those interested should call (330) 385-6400, Ext. 204.

• A limited number of vendors will be accepted for the LaBrae craft show on Nov. 1 at Bascom Elementary School, 1015 N. Leavitt Road, Leavittsburg. An 8-foot space can be rented for $15, and tables may be rented for an additional $10. Vendors can contact Cheryl Olney at (330) 847-8003. Homemade food will be available all day.

FESTIVALS

SBlt First Covenant Church will be the setting for a Lucia Breakfast and Festival on Dec. 6. Featured will be baked goods, a Swedish auction, singing and dancing. Breakfast seatings will be at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. For meals, send a choice of three seating preferences, a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and a check ($7 for each meal), payable to Covenant Women, to the church at 5210 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, OH 44512.

• Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, 45 Idlewood Road, Austintown, will have its second annual Fall Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. The free event will feature a bounce-around, climbing wall, pony rides, petting zoo, games, face painting and karaoke. Also featured for purchase will be Chinese auction tickets, baked goods and food.

• Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.

SHOWS

• Howland Community Church, 198 Niles Cortland Road N.E., Warren, and Heritage Quilters will present a 30th annual quilt show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the church. There will be a vendor’s mall, a display of quilts, food, raffles, and technique and product demonstrations. A Lime Star Log Cabin quilt, custom quilted by Dottie Bettiker, will be raffled.
