HUBBARD

Sept. 26

Theft: A worker for a North Main Street pizza restaurant reported a money bag stolen from his vehicle.

Sept. 28

Criminal damaging: A woman told police several juveniles climbed a fence onto a playground off Orchard Avenue, threw rocks at a sliding board and damaged part of the fence.

Theft: A man in the 300 block of Elizabeth Avenue reported ladders and a vehicle cover stolen from his home.

Robbery: A Doris Drive woman reported her residence was robbed, though no other details were in the report.

Sept. 29

Criminal damaging: A vehicle sustained damage in the 700 block of Elmwood Drive.

Assault: An Elmwood Drive woman reported another woman assaulted her.

Fraud: A Hubbard man told police he sent a money order to another man selling a vehicle online, but that the seller never called the accuser regarding a tracking number as promised.

LIBERTY

Sept. 25

Theft: An employee of The Youngstown Pizza Co., 3225 Belmont Ave., reported someone placed an order for $302.53 worth of pizza and asked it be sent to a Youngstown address. No one at the address, however, was aware of the order or the name of the person who made it, the report said.

Domestic violence: A 35-year-old Youngstown man surrendered to police after a Northview Boulevard woman reported having been a victim.

Fraud: A Townsend Avenue man noticed several charges on his credit card statement that he never made.

Arrests: After pulling over a car on Belmont Avenue, police arrested a woman, 36, and a 53-year-old man, both of Youngstown. The man was wanted on a warrant from Austintown charging him with auto theft; the woman faced charges of passing a bad check, falsification and driving under suspension.

Burglary: A man returned to his Chrysann Drive home and discovered it had been ransacked after someone apparently entered through a rear window. Two stereo systems, a lawn mower, a digital camera and a sofa were among the items stolen.

Theft/damage: The owner of a Tibbetts-Wick Road business discovered copper tubing had been removed from a heating and cooling system, causing damage to the furnace and system that the owner estimated would cost $40,000 to repair.

Sept. 26

Criminal damaging: A student at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, saw that her vehicle’s rearview mirror had been torn off.

Arrest: Authorities got a call about an unwanted person in the 400 block of East Montrose Street and arrested a 55-year-old Youngstown woman on a disorderly-conduct charge. She refused to stop yelling profanities, police said.

Sept. 27

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a residence in the 300 block of Tibbets-Wick Road via a basement door before cutting and removing copper pipes.

Arrest: Officers responded to a suspicious person at a Belmont Avenue gas station and took into custody a Youngstown man, 30, on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police had to use a Taser because the man had yelled several times and refused to comply, the report showed.

Arrest: A 29-year-old Youngstown man was taken into custody on a warrant from Mahoning County charging him with a probation violation as police dealt with a disturbance in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive.

Theft: A traffic stop on state Route 193 led to the arrest of a Youngstown man, 52, when police discovered he was wanted by Weathersfield authorities on a theft charge.

Sept. 28

Arrest: Police responded to a possible assault in the 4200 block of Belmont Avenue, where they arrested a 29-year-old Youngstown man on a warrant.

Arrest: Authorities picked up a Youngstown man, 26, at the Mahoning County Jail who was wanted on a warrant from the township.

Sept. 29

Menacing: An employee with a Belmont Avenue fast-food restaurant told officers two women threatened to harm the worker.

Theft: A Warren man accused a Naylor-Lloyd Road man of refusing to return his four-wheel motorcycle. The township man said the accuser owed him $350 and that he was holding the motorcycle as collateral.

GIRARD

Sept. 27

Vandalism: Someone tossed eggs at a vehicle in the 800 block of Beechwood Drive.

Burglary: A woman in the 500 block of Prospect Street returned to find several windows broken. A laptop computer was stolen.

Theft: A North Ward Avenue man discovered fishing poles, four life jackets and other items missing from his boat.

Breaking and entering: A Beechwood Drive woman discovered someone removed the padlock latch to a sliding-glass door before stealing a snowblower and a toolbox.

Assault: Police received a 911 call pertaining to a fight near U.S. Route 422 and found an injured Oakview Drive man who reported two males had repeatedly punched him.

Sept. 28

Criminal damaging: A McDonald man in the 100 block of Elruth Court reported a vehicle’s rear window had been shot.

Theft: A Beechwood Drive woman reported a weed trimmer, leaf vacuum and snowblower stolen from her shed.

Arrest: While investigating a suspicious male near East Broadway Avenue, police charged the 23-year-old Girard man with public intoxication.

Drug paraphernalia: After stopping a vehicle on Interstate 80, officers said they found a suspected crack pipe, a syringe and numerous credit cards that may have been stolen. No arrests were made at the time of the report.

Breaking and entering: A worker for the Ohio Central Railroad, 1908 S. State St., arrived to discover an office had been entered. A small safe, tools and a video camera were missing.

Theft: Two employees of a Shell True North gas station, 420 S. State St., said a nearby resident turned in a garbage bag containing $65.72 worth of items that had been stolen from the business.

Sept. 29

Bad checks: Charges were pending against a Niles man, 30, a McDonald woman, 41, and a Youngstown woman, 33, after an employee with Tom’s Automotive Inc., 935 N. State St., reported receiving three bad checks totaling $600 on three occasions.

Criminal damaging: A man who owns a building in the 500 block of Rush Street saw that someone had tossed rocks, shattering several windows and costing him about $500.

Theft: A woman discovered a $5,700 ring was missing while she visited a friend’s Prospect Street home.

Theft: A South Davis Street woman accused an 11-year-old boy of taking her son’s $210 Sony PlayStation game system.
