SENIORS SIDELIGHTS

Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following activities: Monday, Men’s and Women’s Needlecraft Club at 10 a.m. and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting and Alzheimer Support group at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, cornhole practice at 1:15 p.m., digital club at 2 and Caregiver Support Program at 2; Wednesday, watercolor class at 10 a.m., computer at 10 and noon, tai chi at noon and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; Thursday, woodcarvers and Watch Our Weight Club at 9 a.m., Diabetic Workshop at 10, exercise at noon and line dancing at 1 p.m.; and Friday, Texas Hold’em at 1 p.m. Special events include: Thursday, Maintain Your Brain program at 10 a.m.; Thursday, Mountaineer Casino Trip with departure at 8 a.m. from center; and Oct. 11 and 12, watercolor workshop at 9 a.m. Flu shots available at all fun days.
