Results of garden show announced by Forum

• YOUNGSTOWN — “September Song” was the theme chosen for the garden and horticulture show sponsored by the Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area on Sept. 13 and 14 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.

Following judging of entries by Esther Bertch, Dianna Mullins and Joyce Dunbar, awards were presented in various categories.

Recipients of blue ribbons in design were:

SBlt Susie Cochran, East Liverpool/Calcutta Garden Club.

SBlt Pearl Marlos, Gleaners.

SBlt Sheila Bowman, Nature Lovers.

Blue ribbons in horticulture went to:

SBlt Dunbar, Grand Caymen.

SBlt Beverly Patrick, Ikebana.

SBlt Margie David, Immaculate Heart of Mary.

SBlt Hugh Earnhart and Rex Luckage, Men’s Garden Club.

SBlt Mullins, Martha Murphy, and Bowman, Nature Lovers.

SBlt Dorothy Haddox, Our Lady of Fatima.

SBlt Harry Haddox and Alyssa Lynch, public.

In the horticulture division special awards were captured by:

SBlt Earnhart, Men’s Garden Club.

SBlt Mullins and Bowman, Nature Lovers.

Chairwomen for the show were Beverly Patrick and Laura Miller. Exhibits were open for public viewing both days.
