IN THE CUP! Area holes in one


Joe McAndrew of Columbiana aced the No. 2 hole at Valley Golf Course using a hybrid club on the 145-yard hole. The ace, which came in the Heck’s Restaurant three-man scramble tournament, was worth $5,000. Witnessing the shot were playing partners Boomer McAndrew and Larry Miller along with Kirby Zellers, Jim Houp and Jeff Smith.

Frank Musolino of New Castle, Pa., aced the No. 18 hole at Bedford Trails Golf Course. He used an 8-iron on the 135-yard hole and it was witnessed by Jim Porada, Scott Brice and Russ Hedland.

C.J. Morris of Canfield and a member of the YSU baseball team aced the No. 7 hole at Stambaugh Golf Course. He used a pitching wedge on the 130-yard hole. His playing partners were YSU players Aaron Swenson, Ryan Wackerman and Chuck Schiffhauer.

Mill Creek Par-3 recent holes in one included: Brandon Riley on No. 6, Dennis Jasinski on No. 16, Megan Tirabassi on No. 12, Holly Ryan on No. 8, Chuck Zarbaugh on No. 16, Andy Stiner on No. 6, Tim Mangino of No. 12, Karen Schilling on No. 15, William Kenyhercz on No. 14 and David Jordan Jr. on No. 7.

Joe Campati aced the No. 17 hole at Fonderlac Country Club. He used a 7-iron on the 146-yard hole and witnesses were Kim Hoover, Al Keshock, Tony Carna and Jim Nabors.

Dr. Jeff Fulton aced the No. 9 hole at Tippecanoe Country Club. He used an 8-iron on the 163-yard hole. Bob Fulton witnessed the shot.
