DiGiacomos mark 50th anniversary at Mass and dinner
• AUSTINTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Anthony DiGiacomo, 4220 Nottingham Ave., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 20 by attending Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown, where they were united in marriage on that day in 1958.
Afterward they were honored by their family and members of their wedding party at a dinner given by their children at Leo’s Ristorant in Howland.
Hosts for the festivity were Anthony DiGiacomo of Boardman, Janet DiGiacomo of Atlanta, David and Laura DiGiacomo and Daniel DiGiacomo, all of Poland, and Mark DiGiacomo of Mars, Pa. A grandchild, Gia Marie DiGiacomo, completes the family.
Mrs. DiGiacomo, the former Dorothy Orlando, retired in 2006 from Youngstown City Schools, where she was a secretary for 24 years. She is a member of Kent State University Mothers Club.
Mr. DiGiacomo was a member of Bricklayers Local 8 for 50 years and a Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority housing inspector for 11 years prior to retiring in 1998.
The couple are members of St. Joseph Church.
