AUSTINTOWN Leaf collection

The township’s third annual leaf collection program is scheduled to begin Oct. 27 and last for four weeks, ending Nov. 20. The township is divided into four sections — north, central, southeast and southwest that cover all the township, county and state roads within each section. Collection will take place in the same section on the same day each week. The collection schedules is:

Mondays: Oct. 27, Nov. 3, 10, 10; Southeast (south of New Road & east of S. R. 46).

Tuesdays: Oct. 28, Nov. 4, 11 and 18; Central (south of Mahoning Ave., & north of New Road & east of S. R. 46).

Wednesdays: Oct. 29; Nov. 5, 12 and 19. North of Mahoning Ave.

Thursdays: Oct. 30; Nov. 6, 13 and 20. Southwest : (south of Mahoning Ave., & west of SR 46)

No collections Friday.

Collections will occur between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Only leaves in approved recycled paper bags will be collected. The township will sell such recycled paper bags at the Township Hall, 82 Ohltown Road, and at the Zoning Office, 90 Westchester Drive. The bags are packaged by the wholesaler with five bags to a package at a cost of $2 a package.
