Wrta Levy \ Details
Western Reserve Transit Authority requests voters pass a 0.25-percent sales tax on Election Day, Nov. 4. If Issue 8 passes, WRTA would raise about $7 million annually and will provide the following services to Mahoning County:
Countywide, small bus with door-to-door services.
Community circulators and crosstown buses in suburban communities.
Saturday, weekday and evening services.
Mobility management services to help all social service agencies do a better job of meeting the travel needs of their clients.
Provide regularly scheduled bus service to workers in the county and people who have no other means of transportation.
Help the growing number of seniors and people with disabilities, the largest numbers who reside in the suburban communities and have no access to reliable transportation.
Improve Mahoning County’s economy by providing reliable transportation to employees for local businesses and make the county more attractive to potential new businesses.
Provide an affordable, reliable source of public transportation at a time when gas prices have hit $4 a gallon.
