Patricia Ringos Beach, a 1973 graduate of Struthers High School, has compiled a pictorial history of Struthers as part of Arcadia Publishing’s “Images of America.”

Name: Patricia Ringos Beach.

Parents: Paul and the late Rose Ringos of Struthers.

Siblings: Sister, Paula Drapcho of Avon Lake, whose picture appears in the book as a member of the 1978 Struthers High School Ohio AAA girls state basketball championship team; and Cindy Donahue of Saline, Mich.

Family: Husband, Dan, and daughters: Stacie, a graduate of The Ohio State University living in Columbus; and Kimberly, a senior at OSU.

Education: Struthers High School, 1973; St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing; Capital University in Columbus, bachelor of science in nursing degree, 1980; Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, master of science in nursing degree, 1996.

Occupation: Oncology and palliative care nurse. Formerly worked at the OSU Medical Center and now at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

On growing up on Hopewell Drive in Struthers: Every day she witnessed the beauty of Yellow Creek from her living-room window and learned to swim at “the birdbath” in Yellow Creek and loved to eat Elmton pizza.
