ASSOCIATIONS
• NARFE Chapter 14, for active and retired federal employees, will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Saxon Club, 710 Meridian Road, Austintown. Dennis Petrack, president of NARFE Ohio Federation, will speak on member benefits and the importance of belonging to NARFE. Lunch will be served.
AUXILIARIES
• Trumbull County Beekeepers Association will meet at 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at Trumbull County Agricultural Building, 520 W. Main St., Cortland. Mike Shafer will speak on “The Varroa Destructor.” The public is invited to the free event. Those attending are asked to take a food item for a potluck dinner. CLASSES
• Woodrow Wilson High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the 1946 and 1948 classes are also welcome.
CLUBS
• Austintown II Homemakers will meet at 10:20 a.m. Thursday at the Austintown Log Cabin, Raccoon Road. After a tour, members will go to the 9/11 Memorial Park, then to Eat’n Park for lunch. On Oct. 15, the group will attend Sharing Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mill Creek MetroParks, Route 46.
• College Club of Sharon will have its first meeting of the season Oct. 11 with a noon luncheon at The Corinthian, Sharon, Pa. The hospitality committee includes Antoinette DeAngelis, Paula Haehnel and Laura Kubyako. Anyone taking guests may call either Carole Barker or DeAngelis at (724) 962-5880.
• McDonald P.E.G.S. will have a monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the elementary school library.
• Tri-County Chapter of Medical Assistants will have its monthly educational meeting Tuesday at the Austintown Surgery Center, 45 Canfield-Niles Road, in Austintown. The topic will be IC therapy and will be awarded one CEU. The speaker will begin promptly at 7 p.m.
Library friends
• Friends of the Poland Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for coffee in the Poland Library meeting room. After the 10 a.m. business meeting, members of the Salem Preservation Society will present the program, “First Ladies’ Lives After the White House.” The hostesses for the meeting are Sue Perry, Louise Martinko, Ann Trefethern and Lee Centofanti. Book and magazine donations for the Poland Friends Book Cart fundraiser will be collected at the meeting, which is open to the public.

• St. Michael Altar Guild of St. Michael Church, Canfield, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the parish center. Rosary at 7 p.m. in the church will precede the meeting. Pat Hoyle will preside. Patti Pritchard L’Italien will present a program, “Life’s Little ‘F’ Words (Faith, Family, Friends, Freedom and Forgiveness).” Guests are welcome.
• St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

The association also offers a Families in Transition program. An education and support session for those experiencing early stage memory loss will take place Oct. 27. • Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County is offering a support group for sexual assault victims every first and third Tuesday of each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at its facility, 1218 W.
