‘Marching Thunder’ at OSU

CHAMPION — The Champion High School “Marching Thunder” has been invited to perform at the prestigious Buckeye Invitational Band Festival on May 4 in Columbus.

The annual event is sponsored by The Ohio State University marching band and takes place on the field at Ohio Stadium. Just 30 high school marching bands are selected from more than 600 bands in the state.

The “Marching Thunder” is comprised of 140 band members and is under the direction of Thomas Brucoli, Josh Corklic and Tyler Husosky. The Champion Band will perform at 2:15 p.m.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Students and their families can now get access to the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency’s annual Guide to Student Aid online.

The guide provides extensive information on all student aid programs available to Pennsylvania students, including the need-based state grant.
